Job Description
The Restaurant Helper is a versatile and hardworking team member responsible for assisting in various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Support:
- Assist the kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that kitchen supplies are adequately stocked and assist with inventory management.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Dining Area Maintenance:
- Set up and arrange tables and chairs before the restaurant opens.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces after guests leave.
- Refill water glasses, condiments, and other table items as needed.
- Ensure that the dining area is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Customer Assistance:
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Respond to guest requests and ensure their needs are met promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, polite, and professional.
- Help with clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
- General Support:
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food, beverages, and other supplies.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and cleaning restrooms.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
