Job Description
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet Guests: Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are comfortably seated.
- Provide Information: Explain the menu, specials, and answer any questions guests might have about the dishes or drinks.
- Take Orders: Accurately record food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Service Delivery:
- Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver orders promptly and ensure that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal.
- Monitor Needs: Check on guests regularly to replenish drinks, clear plates, and respond to any additional requests.
- Handle Complaints: Address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Table Maintenance:
- Prepare Tables: Set up tables before guests arrive, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of tableware.
- Clear Tables: Remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils in a timely manner to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Reset Tables: Prepare tables for the next guests, including setting out fresh tablecloths, napkins, and cutlery.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate with Staff: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Support Team: Assist other waitstaff and team members during busy periods to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Knowledge and Training:
- Learn Menu Items: Stay updated on menu changes and specials to provide accurate information to guests.
- Follow Procedures: Adhere to restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to improve service skills and knowledge.
