Job Description
A Barista Chef, often referred to simply as a Barista, is a skilled professional responsible for making and serving high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks, as well as other beverages and light food items. Here are some of their key responsibilities:
- Preparing Coffee Drinks: Crafting a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and mochas.
- Operating Equipment: Using and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other coffee-making equipment.
- Knowledge of Coffee Beans: Understanding different types of coffee beans, their origins, and roasting processes to recommend the best options to customers.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Food Preparation: Preparing and serving light food items like pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the coffee bar and equipment clean and organized, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Managing Inventory: Monitoring and replenishing supplies of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
