Job Description

A Restaurant Captain, also known as a Head Waiter or Floor Captain, plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and delightful dining experience for guests. Their primary responsibilities include:

  • Supervising Staff: Overseeing the service staff, including waiters, busboys, and hostesses, to ensure efficient and courteous service.
  • Training and Mentoring: Providing training and guidance to new and existing staff members to maintain high service standards.
  • Guest Interaction: Greeting and seating guests, addressing any concerns or special requests, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Order Management: Coordinating with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Quality Control: Conducting regular checks to ensure that the dining area, table settings, and service meet the restaurant’s standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Handling any customer complaints or issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Sales and Promotions: Promoting daily specials, upselling menu items, and enhancing the overall guest experience to increase sales.
  • Event Coordination: Assisting in the planning and execution of special events, private parties, and catering functions.
