Job Description

  1. Guest Interaction:
    • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
    • Present menus and provide detailed information about the menu items, specials, and any dietary restrictions.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  2. Service Delivery:
    • Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
    • Ensure that guests have everything they need, such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
    • Check on guests regularly to see if they need anything else and to ensure their satisfaction.
  3. Order Management:
    • Confirm orders with guests to ensure accuracy.
    • Handle any special requests or modifications to orders.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  4. Table Maintenance:
    • Clear and clean tables between courses and after guests have finished their meals.
    • Ensure that the dining area is tidy and well-organized at all times.
    • Reset tables for the next guests, including arranging tableware and linens.
  5. Payment Processing:
    • Present the bill to guests and handle payments, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
    • Provide accurate change and receipts to guests.
    • Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Address any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Provide recommendations for food and beverage pairings, specials, and popular menu items.
    • Ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
