Job Description
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about the menu items, specials, and any dietary restrictions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Service Delivery:
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Ensure that guests have everything they need, such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Check on guests regularly to see if they need anything else and to ensure their satisfaction.
- Order Management:
- Confirm orders with guests to ensure accuracy.
- Handle any special requests or modifications to orders.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Table Maintenance:
- Clear and clean tables between courses and after guests have finished their meals.
- Ensure that the dining area is tidy and well-organized at all times.
- Reset tables for the next guests, including arranging tableware and linens.
- Payment Processing:
- Present the bill to guests and handle payments, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Provide accurate change and receipts to guests.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Customer Service:
- Address any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide recommendations for food and beverage pairings, specials, and popular menu items.
- Ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
