Job Description
A waiter, also known as a server, is a hospitality professional responsible for ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience. They work in restaurants, cafes, hotels, and other food service establishments.
- Customer Service: Greeting guests, presenting menus, and providing detailed information about menu items, including specials.
- Order Taking: Accurately taking food and beverage orders and conveying them to the kitchen or bar.
- Serving: Delivering food and drinks to the table in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring orders are correct and that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
- Table Maintenance: Checking on guests throughout their meal, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and responding to any requests or issues.
